Most Random Interview Questions

Interviewing. It’s like getting ready for a first date. What do I wear? What should we talk about? Will this person like my personality? What do I say? All of these questions float around our head and the nervousness sets in.
You ask your friends for advice, you even Google the “10 most common interview questions and how to answer them.” You practice the questions in front of the mirror, pick out your outfit, prepare copies of your resume and cover letter and take a deep breath and think to yourself with confidence “I got this.” But nothing can ultimately prepare you for what the interviewers have in store for you.
After introducing yourself, the interviewer doesn’t hesitate and starts asking you questions:
“Tell me about yourself.”
“What made you interested in the position.”
“Tell me about a situation in where you had a deadline you had to complete.”
The interview is going smooth and the questions being asked are the ones you practiced. It feels like the interview is going great and then:
“If you were stranded on a desert island, what three albums would you want to have with you and why?”
Nothing prepares you or catches you off guard like a good unconventional out of the box interview question. There are no wrong answers to these questions so why does interviewers ask these questions? The interviewer wants to see how you respond can see how you conduct yourself under an unpredictable situation. The workplace is full of unpredictable events so why not test out the waters to see if the candidate will sink or swim.
