This has been one of the most highest publicized and criticized election years ever. Yes, it may be a heated election with very polarized views and beliefs but that’s what America stands for right? The freedom to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These values we exercise are what we hold true as citizen which is why it’s more important than ever to make sure that your vote counts and that your voices are represented.
Some voters has already voted through mail in ballots. Others know where their assigned polling place is located. But were you aware that
you have the legal rights to take time off of work to go vote?
Employer’s are mandated to let employees take time off to go vote. By law employers by now should have notified you or posted a notice around your workplace informing you of your rights as a voter.
Before you go run off and go vote, have a discussion with your supervisor and plan out when and how long you will need to go vote.
